Cocker Spaniels are a genuine joy to photograph. The flowing ears, the expressive eyes, the fact that they seem to know exactly how good-looking they are.

This one came in recently and was thoroughly at home from the start. We got classic portraits, a few shots on the chaise, and I couldn’t resist adding one of the historical costume edits. He suits a military jacket rather well, it has to be said.
Every session is about capturing what makes your dog themselves. For this one, it was that particular Cocker Spaniel charm, a kind of effortless elegance with just enough personality underneath to keep things interesting.
At the Crawley Down studio, I take time at the start of every session to let your dog settle in at their own pace. Some dogs are straight into it, others need a few minutes and a biscuit or two. Either way, we get there, and the images will look like them.
