Dog photography sessions are one of my greatest joys in the studio. I love all my clients, but I can’t pretend the chance to meet a new dog isn’t a particular highlight.

This one had me the moment he walked in. Still very much a puppy, but you can already tell he’s going to be a big lad. He was remarkably well behaved for his age. It’s always a bonus if your dog has a repertoire of tricks to show off, but as long as they can sit and lie down, we’re good to go. He did have the occasional moment of wandering off to investigate something more interesting, which is entirely fair at his age. Working quickly, a little patience, and a generous amount of cheese got us where we needed to be.
I couldn’t pick just one image from his session, so there are three here. Including the historical portrait, because he is absolutely that kind of dog and he deserved it.
