When it comes to baby photography, many people choose to stick with light coloured and pastel options. Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, far from it, but there’s also something to be said for favouring a darker colour backdrop.

Take a look at this little set up here for a tub splash photo shoot – I’ve never done it with this dark wood backdrop before but I have to say that I really love the contrast.  The yellow ducks and white bath really pop against and, while it could be considered a bolder choice, I think it really works well.
