Planning Your Family Portrait Session

Timeless family photography in Crawley Down

Looking for beautiful studio photography for your family? My portrait sessions capture you all together in a calm, welcoming studio setting.  Based in Crawley Down, I specialise in relaxed, natural portraits for babies and families across West Sussex and the surrounding areas.

What to Expect at Your Session

A relaxed and flexible session whether you want photos as a couple, a family, or just the kids.  My studio can accommodate groups of up to two adults and three small children, and you’re welcome to mix and match setups. For example, with a full portrait shoot, you could capture shots of the whole family, the kids together and individually, and even a few just as a couple. My studio’s versatile setup means we can work with a variety of styles, but if you have a specific vision in mind, it’s always a good idea to chat with me beforehand so I can make sure everything is ready for your session.

Planning Your Family Studio Session

Welcome! If you’ve landed here from Pinterest, you’re in exactly the right place to start planning your family session.

However your family is shaped, I’m here to create beautiful memories of you all at any stage. If you’ve booked a full portrait session, we have time for up to three outfit and backdrop changes and also to capture you all together, siblings, children on their own and even some rare parents together photos.  We can mix and match to make your perfect gallery.

Session Style Options

There are a few ways we can style your session, depending on your baby’s stage and personality – we have time for three different sections so you can keep it all one style or mix and match – whatever takes your fancy!

  • Simple & Classic – Clean backdrops, soft colours, and baby-led posing.

  • Character & Dress-Up – Outfits from the studio wardrobe, like rompers, tutus, or even animal costumes.

  • Seasonal Themes – A subtle nod to the season with set design or prop accents.

  • Fine Art Portraits – A timeless feel, styled to let your baby’s personality shine through.

Your Session – Your Way

You can have as much control and input into how your session is styled as you’d like – some people enjoy the planning, others turn up and prefer to just go with the flow and keep it all very simple.  Either way, I’m here to support you in creating your images.  On the Pinterest Plan your Family Session Board, you’ll be able to view and select your favourites from my range of

  • Backdrops
  • Props
  • Bunting
  • Teepee Set Ups
  • Outfits
  • Hats & Headbands
  • Themes & Accessories
  • and view a whole lot of general info, even some YouTube links if you like your content in video format.
