Newborn photography can take a lot of forms and indeed, the fashions have changed drastically over the years.  I’m definitely seeing a move right now away from heavy prop based set ups to a more classic style.

In fact, this is a movement that’s already got a head of steam in the USA and this new ‘natural newborn photography’ will no doubt influence our work over the next few years.  In fact, I’m working on some new ideas to stay ahead of the curve on that one in a modified manner – I honestly don’t see the benefit of visiting a professional newborn photographer to have them remain completely hands off your newborn – after all, you kind of come to take advantage of my skill set but I can definitely see a move to more classic styles down the road.

I don’t have any opinion on the types of style that newborn photography should take – as long as it’s safe, I’m cool with creating whatever you would like me to create.  Want a theme?  Excellent, I’m up for it.  Prefer to keep it simple?  Sure, sounds great.
