Cake smash and tub splash photo shoots are so popular nowadays that there are a wide range of outfits and accessories that you can buy online to complete the look you want for your photos.

I have lots of props and accessories in the studio but unfortunately I can’t let you borrow them for a cake smash as it’s such a messy affair!  So while some people prefer to keep it simple and smash in a plain onesie or just a nappy cover, this stylish mum had brought along the most lovely outfit that matched the pink and grey cake and it looked just fabulous.

Of course, the model wearing it was pretty wonderful in herself but there’s no denying that the outfit choice and the gorgeous flower headband gave the whole affair a kind of pretty vintage feel which really added to the finished photos.  We reflected this using my vintage door backdrop and a delicate floral bunting that matched the colour scheme (I have loads of bunting options – seriously, drives my husband crazy with me always making new ones!) so lots of choices to create the look you want!

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
