This was a little cake smash party in the studio to celebrate Stanley’s first birthday and he certainly seemed up for a good time with his cake and bath photo shoot!
A lot of babies don’t get that into the cake when they come to visit which actually doesn’t mean that you don’t get great cake smash pictures – there’s no need for total cake devastation in order to create fab images to mark the occasion. On the odd occasion, I do have a baby that totally trashes their cake rock star style but generally most are happy to mess about, have a play and eat a little bit (when they look to be eating a LOT, we work fast and get the cake smash part done double quick so they don’t make themselves sick!). Stanley fell into that happy middle ground where he was more than happy to engage with his lovely two colour cake, play with it a bit and eat some of it and generally have a great time before it was his chance to get into the tub for a good old splash around.
