A Boy and his Dog – Baby Photography

Nothing to see here – just a boy and his fur brother posing for some photos!  Dogs are always welcome in the studio and in fact, this particularly fur baby had already been to visit to be a part of the newborn photo shoot.

When it comes to including your dog in photos, I usually recommend that they come for a newborn photo shoot if they are likely to settle down OK and then you don’t bring them for your baby’s four month shoot as it is quite difficult to pose a baby that can’t sit unsupported with a dog – it can feel a bit like spinning plates trying to make sure that everyone is safe, supported and then also looking at the camera.  However, the second Joey Club session when your baby can sit up by themselves is the perfect time to get them back involved.  We had both mum and dad on hand to create these shots and we worked as a team with one focusing on the dog and one on the baby to get them both looking and smiling along.  Teamwork makes the dream work!
