This family came in for their first Baby Club session knowing exactly what they wanted. They’re outdoorsy people, and they wanted the photos to reflect that.
The woodland set was the obvious choice, deep green backdrop, giant red mushrooms, ferns, moss, and of course Tuppence the hedgehog and Niblet the squirrel keeping watch.
The only adjustment was the moss boulder chair, which I brought in to give her a bit of support. She’s not quite sitting independently yet, but she was very clear about wanting to be upright and see what was going on. Lying down was not on the agenda. The chair gave her the position she wanted while keeping her safe and steady, and she settled into it immediately.
Once she was up and could actually look around at the scene, the mushrooms, the ferns, Niblet right beside her, she was completely in her element. That expression is a baby who is taking in a lot of information and finding all of it very interesting.
A good first session. Looking forward to seeing how she grows through the year.
