Sessions are on 28th March at my Crawley Down studio in West Sussex, and here’s exactly what’s included in your £35 session fee.

It starts in the studio. Your child is photographed against a simple backdrop in a series of carefully guided poses, no elaborate set, no special lighting tricks, just a short relaxed session where I capture the expressions and natural movement I need. For most children it takes about ten to fifteen minutes.
Then the real work begins.
I take those photographs and carefully build them into a finished underwater scene. Your child’s image is cut out, scaled, repositioned and blended into the background. The mermaid tail is added and matched to the lighting. The colours are balanced, the edges refined, and the whole image is worked over until it feels like your child was actually there, sitting on that rock, watching a turtle swim past.
Every image is made individually from your child’s real photographs. Not AI-generated. Not a green screen shortcut. Not a template with a face dropped in. Each one is handcrafted by me, which is why they take a while and why no two look quite the same.
There are three different underwater scenes to choose from, so the finished artwork feels personal rather than off a production line.
The result is something quite different to a standard portrait. Something worth putting on a wall.
