This is one of my favourite set combinations I’ve put together recently, the clear milk bath tub, the light wood shutter backdrop, and the full nautical accessory set. Anchor, life ring, fishing net, shells, tassel garland in navy and white. It works together really well and it’s not a combination I’d tried before.
The only issue was the baby.
She’d developed a sudden and very firm aversion to bath time between booking and session day, and was absolutely not getting in the tub. Not negotiable. We pivoted to the cake smash, which she had absolutely no objections to, and got some brilliant shots from that.
This particular image is my test shot, the one I take before the session to check the lighting and composition. Which means the set looked exactly like this and nobody sat in it.
I’m sharing it because the setup deserves to be seen, and because if anyone fancies a nautical milk bath tub splash for their little one’s first birthday, I now know it works. The tub is ready. I just need a baby who hasn’t gone off baths.
