This one came with a specific request. The family wanted a photo of dad holding his daughter exactly like this because that’s his move. The one that settles her. The one that works every time.
You can see why. She’s out cold.
It’s one of the things I love about including parents in a newborn session. You end up capturing something real, not a posed arrangement but an actual moment from their life together, the specific way this particular person holds this particular baby. In a few years that detail becomes part of the story of those first weeks.
He wore white, she wore white, and the dark wood backdrop did the rest. Simple, and exactly right for the image they wanted.
