One of the most special parts of being a photographer is being invited back into people’s lives as the years go by.
Twelve years ago, I photographed this wonderful couple on their wedding day, full of excitement, laughter, and the promise of everything still to come. Fast forward more than a decade, and they returned to the studio for a portrait session together along with their two children that I’ve also photographed along the way.
What struck me most wasn’t how much had changed, but how much hadn’t. The same warmth, the same way they look at each other, the same quiet connection that was there on their wedding day all those years ago.
Life moves quickly. Seasons change. Families grow and evolve. But love, when it’s nurtured well, settles into something deeper and steadier.
Photographing them again felt a little like opening a time capsule. Two moments in time, twelve years apart, connected by shared history and a relationship that has simply continued to grow.
