The Midwinter Glow Storybook cover

There’s something magical about winter storytelling, and this year I wanted to create something a little special to share — a gentle tale set deep in the Snow Forest, where frost sparkles on every branch and friendships shine brightest on the longest night.

The Midwinter Glow follows four familiar faces from my Christmas studio sets —

  • Lingonberry the reindeer
  • Clarence the owl
  • Tuppence the hedgehog
  • Niblet the squirrel

Each with their own quirks, strengths, and personalities, all working together to solve a rather unexpected crisis: the ceremonial lantern for the Midwinter Glow has gone missing.

There’s blackberry chaos, frantic rummaging, a very sticky pawprint, a wise reminder not to rush, and finally — a slightly cheeky magpie with a fondness for shiny things.
With a bit of patience (and a strand of silver tinsel), the friends bring home the lantern just in time to light the forest with its warm golden glow.

This little story has been such a joy to create — part cosy woodland tale, part friendship adventure — and I hope it brings a smile to anyone who reads it.
