When it comes to prop photography, a little styling goes a long way. I’ve started giving each piece in my studio a bit of a glow-up, starting with this beautiful rustic white bed.
When it comes to baby sessions, flexibility is key—and that’s why my white bed prop is such a favourite. Here are just a few ways I’ve styled it to suit different tastes and themes.

Minimally Styled
Sometimes less really is more. A simple mattress and pillow setup keeps the focus entirely on your little one. It’s a clean, fresh look that works beautifully for any session—especially if you love a natural, uncluttered feel.

Neutral Styling
This setup uses soft textures and warm creams for a gentle, peaceful vibe that suits every baby. It’s ideal for parents who prefer a timeless look without leaning too heavily into colour or theme.

Girly Touches
Think soft pinks, pretty prints and plush textures for a sweet and feminine look. It’s perfect for celebrating baby girls in a classic style that still feels personal and playful.

Boyish Blues
Rich navy tones and simple details give this styling a cosy, comforting feel that works wonderfully for baby boys. It’s not overly themed, but still gives a nod to traditional colour palettes in a fresh, modern way.

Seasonal Styling
This bed loves a bit of festive flair! I’ve styled it here for Christmas with bold reds, fluffy textures and a sprinkle of magic—but the same principle could apply to spring pastels, autumn tones or even a little Easter bunny moment.

Bringing a story to life is one of my favourite ways to add personality to your photos. The bed makes the perfect stage for well-loved tales—like… The Jungle Bunch – A wild adventure with plush safari friends and leafy backdrops.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar – A colourful setup inspired by the classic children’s book, complete with soft toys and the original story.
The white bed is just one of many props I offer, and this project is all about showing you just how versatile each one can be. I’ll be working through the rest of the prop collection over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for more inspiration soon.
