Most of a newborn session is spent creating images that include all of baby – but there’s always time to zoom in on the details too.

Those tiny feet, shell-like fingernails, velvety ears, soft duck fluff hair. These are the things that disappear so fast, and having them properly captured is something parents really treasure later.
It’s also a lovely way to include mum and dad without the pressure of being fully in front of the camera. Not every new parent feels particularly photo-ready — and that’s completely understandable when you’ve got a lot on your mind. Just adding your hands to the frame is a simple way to capture that early connection without having to think about getting ready for a shoot.
