The miniature white bed is one of the most requested props in the studio, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a classic set-up that works with a lot of different styling options, but honestly the simple version is often the best. A patchwork quilt, a little fluffy blanket, a tiny pillow. Sometimes less really is more.
For any prop that’s raised off the floor, there’s always a parent just out of shot. That’s standard practice. It’s immensely unlikely that a settled newborn would startle themselves, but we don’t take chances with it regardless. Safety comes first, always, and that means a spotter is there for every single elevated shot without exception.
