A cake smash and tub splash with a vintage floral theme – and I absolutely loved it. Her mum had made the floral number one and brought the flowers along herself, which made the whole thing feel really personal.

I loved the number one so much that I’ve since ordered the materials to make one for my own collection. I’m like a magpie – I see something I like and I have to have it. Consider yourselves warned: bring good ideas to the studio at your own risk.

We started with a shot her mum had in mind – baby in a pair of high heels, to be repeated every year as she grows. Such a good idea (also stealing that one). Then a family photo with her two big sisters, and then the main event: cake and a good splash in the tub.
