This little guy had his photo shoot delayed and was a good few weeks outside the newborn window by the time he came in. As luck would have it, he decided to treat us to a quick nap.

I managed to settle him in my giant wooden bowl well enough that he dropped off to sleep, which gave us the chance to create this Peter Rabbit set-up. Peter Rabbit is one of the most popular visitors to the studio, and his appeal makes sense given he’s been around since 1902. That staying power is impressive by anyone’s standards.
At about eight weeks old it’s actually quite unusual for a baby to drop off to sleep in the studio, and even more unusual to stay settled while being moved and posed. I like to think he knew exactly what his mum and dad wanted and was doing everyone a favour.
If you’re a Peter Rabbit family, I now have a full set of Peter Rabbit accessories available to use in sessions. Just mention it when you’re planning your visit.
