This is Maggie who came to celebrate her birthday in my studio in Crawley Down (near East Grinstead) after her mum and dad bought her a ‘Model Experience’ photo shoot as a present for this very special occasion.
A model experience shoot gives your teen or pre-teen two hours in the studio with the first hour being dedicated to styling hair and applying (age appropriate) make up then it’s into the studio with three outfit changes to create a set of images to mark the occasion. The emphasis is on confidence building and having fun in the studio, with age appropriate posing and lots of choices in backdrops and styles to create pretty much any looks that can be wished for.
Maggie brought along three great looks and really followed my pre-session advice to act as your own stylist and make sure you bring along all the accessories that you need to complete your look. We had a casual jeans and sparkly tank top, cute shorts and tshirt top and also then a ‘going out’ dress to finish up with. She was such a natural in front of the camera and she loved her restyled hair – with lots of gentle waves and curls designed to bring out the best of her glossy locks. She’s a very beautiful 13 year old girl so we didn’t have too much to do with her make up settling for a great base, some light and sparkly eye make up and a natural glossy lip.
A teen model experience shoot costs £95 including dry hair styling, make up and three digital images (ordered from your private online gallery – there’s no sales session to attend) As I said earlier, the emphasis is on having fun and building confidence and I gently guide your young model through everything they need to do to get the best from their session – no experience is needed and lots of fun and giggles are included!
