This was Luciana’s third and final Joey Club baby photography club photo shoot and we celebrated with a cake smash and tub splash photo shoot so see the year out in style!
She wasn’t entirely sure about the cake although she did get into it after a little time to explore which is fairly common when little ones are faced with a whole cake all to themselves – not exactly a normal experience for them! So it often takes a few minutes for them to warm up and work out what’s going on. The good news is that, even if they aren’t into eating too much of the cake, that you can still get great cake smash pictures and on the plus side, you get lots more cake to take home and have for your tea.
Then it was time to get into some warm and bubbly water to clean up and finish up the session with a good old splash around. Her mum chose my miniature white roll top bath and some of my vintage floral accessories along with my ditzy pink floral bunting. It really all went together perfectly and Luciana had a lovely time in the bath and even made a good attempt at catching lots of bubbles (from my bubble machine which I keep at the studio). I’ll miss her beautiful brown eyes in the studio but I think we ended our year together on a high note!
Cake Smash & Tub Splash Photo Shoots
A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday. We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to. Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun! After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up. Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
Cake smash and tub splash sessions are also included in my baby photography club – the Joey Club so if you have a little one (under four months) take a look at that to find out more about capturing your first year together.
