Splashing Fun to Celebrate a First Birthday

This was the last in a series of three baby photography club sessions for young Harry and it was all to celebrate him turning one year old – scary how fast that year goes!

His mum didn’t fancy the cake smash part of the shoot but did want to ‘tub splash’ so that’s exactly what we did – it’s a completely mix and match service and of course you don’t have to do either – it’s your photo shoot and it can be whatever you’d like it to be.

Traditionally, Harry’s patience with me is quite short so we know that we will shoot very fast to catch him at his smiley best before it runs out.  So we prepared everything before we started to ensure we could transition between the initial part of the shoot and the tub shoot as quickly as possible. However, it turns out that he was on excellent form and actually very pleased with himself for having learned how to blow raspberries so he was more than happy to demonstrate this new skill while we worked to capture his images (yes, of course I have action shots of this!).  He enjoyed his time in the tub, splashing and catching bubbles and we ended up with a really fun and colourful set of images to finish off his Joey Club year.
