I don’t normally do pet photography, not because I don’t want to but babies and families keep me kind of busy and I never really market it. However, when a long time client asks you if you’d be able to take pictures of her puppy, well, you just don’t say no to a chance like that. So along comes Honey, the most beautiful, adorable, squeezable Cocker Spaniel puppy and the organised chaos ensued!
Of course she’s too little to sit on command yet so there were a lot of cheese squares and puppy treats involved but it was the most amazing fun and I love the finished images. Like babies, puppies grow up too fast in my opinion and she’ll be a proper grown up dog before long – how lovely to have some really beautiful puppy photos to look back on. Actually, people often ask me if I get broody working with babies all the time (I don’t) but I have to say, I went back to the house and looked at my two older dogs and thought maybe, just maybe…
(Steve, if you’re reading this and you’ve just gone into panic mode, don’t worry, I won’t do it!)
