This was a super fun photo shoot that actually took place about nine months after it was first scheduled.  Little Amira was one of those super rare newborns that didn’t settle at all during her shoot so we just came back to it when her mum wanted to, to get some photos then.

It doesn’t happen often, maybe two or three times in my photography career but sometimes, you have to know when to say that you’ve been beaten and Amira had us all licked that day.  So I offered her mum the chance to pop back for a session any time in her baby’s first year and she chose to come to visit when she had got to about nine months to create some images of her.

We had lots of outfits and props to play with and she was in resolutely good form and happy to pose for the camera.  Her mum had a unicorn theme planned for her first birthday and so she requested my unicorn props set to go along with her beautiful unicorn dress, headband and shoes – and it all came together perfectly.  You can’t really ever have too many unicorns!
