At this session, this little one’s mum had brought along several great items to include. Some of them reflected her multi national heritage and some of them were just plain adorable.
They were keen to have a few pictures with a love heart theme so they had brought along the heart shaped fluffy cushion so I teamed it up with my bright red wrap and my little wooden ‘LOVE’ letters to tie everything together. I do have a good stock of bits and pieces at the studio that I can add in with the items that you bring along to complement them.
This was a session of two halves really as this little lass was extremely unsettled at the start of it – I know when this happens that parents can feel like they’re not going to get any pictures and that it can be quite stressful for them. I’d always say not to worry, if you’d seen this little one at the start of the session with an awful lot to shout about versus the finished gallery of pictures where she is settled, sleepy and happy as a clam, you’d know that we pretty much always get there in the end.
Newborn Photography
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
