This is a digital backdrop I hadn’t used for a while, so it was good to see it requested – it’s one of my personal favourites.
When you book a newborn session, you can browse my digital backdrop range the day before you come in and choose one to include if you’d like to. They’re not for everyone and that’s completely fine. The option is just there if you want it.
If you do request one, I’ll do my best to shoot for it during the session. Everything is led by your baby’s safety and comfort, so there are never any guarantees that they’ll settle into any particular pose – but I’ll always work my hardest to get you what you’re after. For the Teal Love backdrop, a good wrap and some cushion support is usually enough to get the base shot I need for a convincing composite.
In an ideal world I’d own every prop and set piece I’ve ever wanted, but space and budget don’t quite stretch that far. I will admit though – after editing this image I was so taken with the LOVE letters that I tracked down a real set and ordered them for the studio. One step closer to the dream.
