This baby girl (she didn’t have a name when I met her but I’m really hoping baby girl sticks because it’s very cute) had a lovely time in the studio. She snuggled on my giant beanbag, got kisses from her big sister and obviously found my giant solid wood posing dish a very comfy place to nap judging by her expression.
I’ve invested in some new props and floordrops recently as ummm, well to be honest, a prop place sent me an email about a flash sale they were having and there were just so many pretty things I was powerless to resist. This giant posing dish is just stunning, albeit when I bought it I thought it would be cast fibre and it’s actually solid wood so it weighs an absolute ton.
Still that’s no obstacle to its purpose, and it is safe to use as it’s flat and stable. It’s comfortable – ask baby girl, she definitely liked it. You can fill it up with all manner of cosy mini beanbags, gorgeous fabrics and all manner of pretty and comfy stuff and it’s for both newborns and babies who are sitting steady. So it’s multipurpose which makes it even better value -that’s how I justified it anyway. Who cares about value? It’s just gorgeous…
Newborn Photography
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
