I’ve met this lovely little girl’s parents a few times before as they have been coming over to the studio for my Christmas events with her big sister for a few years now. At the last event, they let me know that they had some happy news and so it was lovely to see them again with their latest addition.
Actually it was the perfect opportunity for me to test out one of my newly purchased lace newborn rompers – lace is just the perfect fabric for newborns as it is almost as soft and delicate as they are. And I think you have to admit, she looks pretty gorgeous in it so that’s a check in the box as far as I’m concerned. I have a whole range of new newborn outfits (went shopping oops!) and they’ll be in the studio if you’d like to borrow them for your session as they’re not the kind of thing that you’d normally buy to use on a day to day basis.
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
