This is Luca who came to visit when he was one week old which is the perfect time for a newborn photo shoot as he was still nice and sleepy, so happy to pose while he was enjoying his dreams.

His mum and dad had really helped by following my pre session advice as well.  They’d kept him awake for an hour before, even taking the chance to give him his first bath, and also only dressed him one layer (using blankets to keep him snug for the journey).  Both of these things just make a session a little bit easier.

They are both die hard Chelsea fans so of course they’d bought along a little bit of blue and white to include in his session, including a Chelsea FC teddy bear.  We also created a little birth announcement set on my miniature white bed which looked just lovely. The perfect birth announcement card or christening invitation and a gorgeous picture that would be perfect on a nursery wall.

A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots.  For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital.   We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
