I just love January for getting things done. I always start the year with a massive To Do list and try to get through it as fast as possible before my New Year’s Resolution mojo runs out!

One of the items that’s been on the list for a while was to remake my newborn nest prop. It was probably the first newborn prop that I ever made so it’s getting on for ten years old and it’s been really showing it’s age.  It was getting awfully raggy round the edges and, if I’m being honest, it was always a little bit too big for purpose anyway.  So in the spirit of January achievement, I finally brought it back to the house to take it apart and remake it.  A lot of twigs on the floor later and the job was done and ticked off the list.  It’s a bit smaller which I think will work better and it’s nice and tidy again.

There’s lots of ways to style it – with flowers, with greenery, with fluffy blankets and wraps – but I’ve also had on the list of things to do for ages is get some feathers to go with it.  Well it just makes sense what with it being a nest and all.  So two items ticked off the list – got to love January motivation.  Can’t wait to try it out!
