This lovely couple came to visit without too much longer to wait (just a couple of weeks) before their bump becomes a baby and so it is a very exciting time for them to be having a maternity photo shoot.

So we had fun creating some great images of her new shape, some featuring her husband some of just her on her own, well as on your own as you can be when you are growing a person inside you!   The images I’m sharing here are light and fun and a great way to capture your pregnancy without feeling too intimidated about being in a studio – not all maternity photos have to be naked.

As it happens though, we did do some more ‘revealing’ shots during this session, shot against a dark background with flattering soft light and these look particularly stunning in black and white.  These are the ones that most people think of when you mention pregnancy photography and they can feel a bit overwhelming when you think of visiting a stranger in the studio and taking off at least some of your clothes.   If you’re interested in a pregnancy photo shoot, then I’d say come along and see how the session develops – my studio is warm and cosy and the whole thing isn’t as scary as you’d think.  Start gently and if you feel comfortable enough to bare a little once you’re into the swing of things then we can add that in.

I recommend coming for your maternity shoot when you are between 32 – 36 weeks pregnant so you have plenty of bump to show but you’re not getting too uncomfortable (also in case your baby decides to make an early appearance).  My maternity shoots cost £95 and include your three favourite digital images (you’re also welcome to borrow any of my gorgeous maternity photo shoot dresses while you’re in the studio).  You select your pictures and order any more that you would like directly from your online gallery, there’s no sales or viewing session to attend.
