This was a maternity portrait with a real family bias, capturing the last few weeks before three become four. Simple portraiture capturing the family together and also separately just to have a reminder of the time.
Maternity portraiture can be a bit of a frightening thing for pregnant ladies sometimes I think because when you mention it, your mind automatically goes to Demi Moore stripping off and cuddling her bump or those low light moody naked (or close to it shots). Now I really do love those and their a pleasure to shoot in the studio (and in case you were wondering, any stretchmarks that you might have won’t be in the finished images). Still not everyone is comfortable with that level of nudity or wants to have those pictures – so I also love the simplicity of this shoot. As the song says, you don’t have to take your clothes off to have a good time…
Maternity Photography
I recommend coming for your maternity shoot when you are between 32 – 36 weeks pregnant so you have plenty of bump to show but you’re not getting too uncomfortable (also in case your baby decides to make an early appearance). My maternity shoots cost £95 and include your three favourite digital images (you’re also welcome to borrow any of my gorgeous maternity photo shoot dresses while you’re in the studio). You select your pictures and order any more that you would like directly from your online gallery, there’s no sales or viewing session to attend.
