Halloween Celebrations of the Best Kind

This family love Halloween (and so do I but then I pretty much love all holidays if I’m being honest), and so it was a stroke of luck that their second baby photography club session happened to fall during the month of October.  It was meant to be!

Her mum and I had been chatting beforehand and we had hatched a plan.  She had paid a visit to a local pick your own pumpkin patch and purchased a good stock of pumpkins including one really large one which she had hollowed out before she got here.  To be perfectly honest, I’ve seen those ‘Pinterest Nailed It’ photos where someone tries to recreate those cute baby in a pumpkin photos and just ends up angering their off spring and creating a horrible tear-filled experience for everyone.  So I kind of though that this was a distinct possibility – however, Ruby had obviously decided that Halloween was a great holiday and so once I’d set up the little pumpkin patch, her mum and dad popped her in and she just sat and smiled.  I’ve never clicked so fast in my life!

We also had a little witches set up all ready to go for but she’d already cast a spell on me when she’d just sat in the pumpkin and been happy about it!  Along with some other photos, we ended up with a whole set of images both holiday and non-holiday themed – can’t wait to see what we can come up with for her final session!
