The baby photography club is a bit of a double edged sword.  I love to getting to know my little clients and their families over the course of the year but then when it comes to their first birthday photos, we have fun but then I know the year is over and I won’t see them every few months.  Little Noah and his family have been such a pleasure all the way from their newborn session through to last weekend’s first birthday pictures, that I will definitely miss them lots.

To celebrate Noah’s first birthday, we had lots of fun – family photos followed by some play time with his favourite toys.  Then we moved onto the main event – a cake smash and tub splash (to get great photos and deliver a clean and less sticky baby back to his mum, dad and big brothers.  As you can see from the few that I’ve shared here, he was on fine form and full of smiles – well what’s not to like about this set up.  You get to eat as much cake as you want and no annoying grown ups try to stop you or prevent you from smearing it all over yourself and the floor.  In fact they even give you a wooden hammer and tell you to go nuts.  And just when you get a full tummy, they pop you in a warm bath and let you get your splash on.  I’m not an expert on child psychology but it seems like a pretty good baby day to me.

This session was included as part of their baby photography club membership but you can always book a first birthday photo shoot if you haven’t been a Joey Club member.  The session includes family portraits, photos of your little one before they get started on the cake and of course the cake smash and tub splash and also your five favourite digital images to download, print and share as much as you would like to.  The cost is £95 and you simply provide the birthday boy or girl along with a cake, bubble bath and a towel.
