This is a very special birthday photo shoot for Leeyah as it was to celebrate her very first one.  Actually, I’ve met lots of her cousins over the last year or so as I’ve been lucky enough to be recommended as kind of their family photographer.  Her cousins have all had cake smash and tub splash sessions and for this reason, her mum fancied doing something a bit different to celebrate and so she opted for a tea party.

I just love how creative my clients can be and it’s always great fun to see what they bring along to their sessions for me to work with.  The big mirror was a lot of fun, watching Leeyah admire her reflection. The tea set was also an inspired choice – OK, she is too young to really know what to do with it (it would also be a great accessory for an older girl, imagine a teddy bear tea party  and all the gorgeous photos I could get there – hint, hint, if any one want to do that) but her interaction with it was fun to watch and to photograph.

All in all, something different to celebrate a first birthday and brilliant mementos of a very special occasion.
