OK, so picture the scene – we are at Megan’s first birthday ‘smash and splash’ photo shoot and the time has come to get out the cake. Megan puts on her outfit and I start to explain that babies don’t always take immediately to the whole cake smashing process.
Sometimes they need some encouragement to begin to explore the cake, all it is a new experience for them and so on… Meanwhile, the cake has been been placed on the floor in front of Megan and by about half way through my explanation of why it might take a few minutes, she has dived into the cake and is smashing like a pro!
Still, I’ve never been so happy to have been proved wrong and we had an amazing session – both with the cake and in the tub for the splash portion of the photo shoot. The resulting images are just an amazing record of a very special first birthday!
Cake Smash & Tub Splash Photo Shoots
A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday. We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to. Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun! After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up. Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
