Téa has been coming to see me since she was just a few days old and she hasn’t always loved her visits to the studio but this was an extra special photo shoot to celebrate her first birthday.  It had cake and bath time – what’s not to love?

Her mum had picked her out the perfect outfit as always and already pre-selected her choice of tub, backdrop and colour scheme for the shoot which was great as I was able to set it all up ready to go before they arrived.  It’s not important to do this as the studio is booked to allow us plenty of time for you take a look at the options and for me to set up your chosen backdrops, props and accessories on the day.

Still, given that Téa is not always the keenest on having her picture taken, this was a great thing as we could get on with the business of the day – creating amazing fun images of her cake smash and tub splash to celebrate and commemorate the end of her first year!  Her mum had designed everything around a pink and grey colour scheme with the ducks used to inject a little colour into proceedings for the tub splash and everything really did look so pretty!  She seemed to enjoy eating the cake that’s for sure!  It was so beautifully iced by her mum that it almost seemed a shame to smash it but I’m glad to say that a good portion of it when unscathed to be enjoyed back at home by her dad and big sister!

After the cake smash stickiness, it was time to get in the warm bath of bubbly water for a good clean up and some bath time fun. Then time to head on home and look forward to her weekend of birthday festivities.

I’m going to miss this little lady but I like to think that we went out in some considerable style with her last photo shoot.

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
