This family came to visit for a family portrait to mark their daughter’s first birthday. They didn’t fancy the cake smash or tub splash session but they did bring along a very special outfit to include – her christening dress and a bonnet to go with it that had been in the family for generations.  OK, not one of us in the room thought she would keep it on for more than a second but hey, that goes to show just how wrong grown ups can be.

I’m not going to lie to you, this was one quick moving one year old and she had very definite ideas on where she wanted to be and what she wanted to do. If you have or have ever had a one year old, you’re going to know exactly what I mean. So there was a fair amount of baby chasing and resetting from mum and dad while I tried to devise ever more ingenious ways of keeping her in one spot, resorting in the end to a series of obstacles that would at least slow her down a bit.  Anyway, as I always say, she only has to stay still for 125th of a second and we managed to get great solo child photos in there, along with some family portrait images that I’m sure they will love.

Family Photography

A family photo shoot in my warm and welcoming studio in Crawley Down is suitable for groups of up to two adults and three children (please call me to discuss before booking if your group is larger than this).  The session fee includes three digital images and costs £95.   As with all of my photography, there’s no sales or viewing meeting to attend – you simply view and order what you would like from your private online gallery. Here’s a link to my digital and print pricing.
