This was baby Jay’s last baby photography club session and he’s been such a fun ‘Joey Clubber’ to have visit! I’m going to miss his smiley little face…

However, I’m pleased to say that we went out on a high note with his parents bringing along the adorable vintage styled car to include in the clean shoot (the part of the shoot before the cake comes out and things start to get sticky).  He looked just adorable on it, and it was perfect with my vintage door backdrop.

Then it was time to get out the cake.  Now here we had a small hitch in that Jay was not that enamoured of the cake eating process but nonetheless we did manage to get a great set of smash images even if he was probably still a bit hungry afterwards!  As I always say, you don’t need a lot of actual smashing to get great pictures which is often a good thing as babies are quite often not entirely sure what to do with a cake!

He was, however, a massive fan of the tub and we mixed and matched my accessory sets to carry on the vintage styled theme with my blue and white enamelware and added a pop of colour with the yellow one from my rubber duck set.  You’re welcome to play with my accessory sets to create your perfect look.

A cake smash photo shoot is included with your Joey Club membership or you can book a cake smash and tub splash session by itself for £95 (including your five favourite digital images).

Cake Smash & Tub Splash Photo Shoots

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.

Cake smash and tub splash sessions are also included in my baby photography club – the Joey Club so if you have a little one (under four months) take a look at that to find out more about capturing your first year together.
