Sophia first came to visit me at my studio event last year to celebrate Father’s Day  and it was lovely to welcome her back into the studio for her first birthday.  Her mum and dad decided to mark the occasion by booking one of my Smash and Splash photo session – great natural portraiture, a cake smash and then a tub splash to clean up at the end.

She looked absolutely stunning in her tutu and headband against my vintage grey damask backdrop – just picture perfect. She actually wasn’t all that keen on the cake smash portion of the session which isn’t entirely unusual – some little ones are not overly fond of getting messy believe it or not.  But then that is why I am so happy that I added the tub splash part of the session last year as, if one section doesn’t work entirely as planned (and what does with kids?), then the other part usually does.  So if your little one isn’t not a messy play fan but loves bath time then you’ll still get great shots at a Smash and Splash session.

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum and dad are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your five favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
