Cake Smash First Birthday Photo Shoot – Amelia

This is Amelia enjoying her first birthday photo shoot in the studio a couple of weeks ago.  Her mum and dad opted to include both a cake smash and a tub splash and brought along a very lovely strawberry cake to add into the festivities.

Like a lot of little people, Amelia wasn’t quite sure what the cake was all about to begin with although the recognisable addition of fresh strawberries on top did encourage her to have a go at least with these.  The ’emergency wooden spoon’ that I keep for when babies really aren’t keen on getting their hands mucky also came in handy and after a little while, she was happy to explore and play with her cake.  Then it was time to clean up with a splash in the tub.  Her mum and dad chose my miniature white roll top bath for her splash photos and it looks adorable with the duck accessory set (always a popular choice – I mean, who doesn’t love rubber ducks?).  A fun finale to a brilliant year of photography with this lovely family.
