This is baby Lucas who is rapidly turning from a baby into a little boy – pictured here as he comes up to his first birthday.  When he first visited the studio, he was very tiny – just a few days old in fact for his newborn photo shoot.  All my newborn photography families also receive free membership to my Joey Club baby photography club and so he has been back to see me three times since.  The first time was at four months old, then at eight months and finally for the most fun session of all – his first birthday photo shoot.

We started the session with some general portrait photos and incorporating one very important lion toy that has been at all of his sessions (it’s a lovely idea to bring along one toy to all your sessions so you can see how your little one has changed alongside it) and then moved on to the very important business of smashing his birthday cake.  After all that sticky fun, we then got into the tub full of warm bubbly water to create some more great images plus get rid of all that cake!  Here, one of Lucas’ other regular visitors to the studio really came into his own – the giant duck.  I have one but the other one belongs to him and has also been along to all his sessions but I’m pretty sure that this was his favourite!
