Brother’s Together – Newborn Photography with Arthur
Newborn photography is a great way to celebrate a new member of your family and capture them in their earliest days. However, they are becoming part of something bigger and other family members are always welcome to join in.
This session saw a proud big brother joining in – I think I can see a great deal of mischief in their future that’s for sure! Usually when siblings are very young, then I recommend that they go off with dad for a while to something more interesting than waiting in a warm room for newborn photos to be taken. Then they can rejoin at the end of the session fresh and ready to go for their family portraits.
Top Tip: If they’re planning on staying for all of the session and are going to be using a phone or tablet as entertainment, then definitely download what you need before you come as we don’t get good reception at the studio!
We had lovely images of Arthur sleeping on his own and then there was time at the end to create some family portraits of everyone together as well as those adorable big brother – little brother images.
A newborn photo shoot is best when your baby is between 5 and 10 days old as this is when they are at their maximum sleepiness and poseability to capture those dreamy shots. For this reason, I definitely recommend that you book when you are pregnant as this is one less thing to worry about scheduling when you’ve just got home from the hospital. We make an appointment for your due date plus 7 days and then adjust it as needed.
My newborn shoots include your three favourite digital images which you select from your online gallery a few weeks after your photo shoot – I don’t make you attend a sales or viewing session. Sessions take place in my warm and cosy studio in Crawley Down and cost £95.
