This is Gus or in my head, he’s always referred to as ‘Gorgeous Gus’.  Don’t get me wrong, I love all my clients – big and small but there’s just something about this fella.  He’s been coming to visit since he was very new (I’d say tiny but he actually wasn’t that tiny even in the beginning) and he just cracks me up.    I think he just has such a distinct little personality and he has since day one.

Anyway, here he is around eight months old and in for his second baby photography club session.  Most proud of his sitting, crawling and standing supported skills- in fact, so proud of his crawling that it took a lot of resetting him in order to get him to stay in one place.  A lot.  Totally worth it though.

Although I say that the second Joey Club session should take place when your baby is eight months old, the sweet spot actually is the point at which your little one is sitting steady but not yet mobile, regardless of their age at this point.  This way, we have access to more props and set up options.  However, you don’t always get to schedule things so precisely and so if your baby is crawling, then hey, we just reset them and repeat.

We did start the session with some pictures with Gus and his big brother and sister and then moved on to some of his own looking dapper in his lumberjack shirt and jeans.  Then we used some of my knitted baby shorts for some pictures before going full birthday suit to finish up with some super cute shots.  I don’t put a limit on outfit changes for a session but Gus isn’t a fan of getting changed so it was easier to start in the first choice outfit and work down from there if you see what I mean.  Anyway, a fun session with a great set of images and I can’t wait for his cake smash session in a few months time.

So I leave you with Gus, my guilty pleasure that I’m not actually guilty about.
