Baby Photography Club – 4 Months Old – Isla

Isla’s mum and dad had originally planned to have a newborn shoot with their little girl but by the time that they got home from the hospital and were able to look around, the limited window for this had passed.  That’s why booking while you’re still pregnant is a good idea, it’s in the calendar then and all you have to do is turn up and enjoy.  It’s way too easy to miss otherwise in the blur of days and nights in the first two weeks after your baby arrives. Anyway, that’s not the point of this.  The point is actually that, knowing this, I designed them a photo shoot for their baby at four months old that had a little bit of a newborn flavour about it to make up for them having missed out before.

Isla is now a fully fledged Joey Club member (that’s the name for my baby photography club) having completed her first shoot at about four months old.  She’s already a pro at tummy time and so we capitalised on this by using my newborn bed and some delicate peach and white florals, as well as working on my giant posing beanbag to show off her new skills.  Her mum and dad had brought along some of her animal friends which match the theme of her nursery – they hadn’t know if they were having a boy or a girl and so lots of her clothes and accessories had an animal theme so it was a good opportunity to create some photos that reflected this.  You’re always welcome to bring along items that you’d like to include.  I don’t follow a set plan of poses and backdrops for any shoot – everything is designed in my super flexible studio according to your requirements so I’m happy to work to give you exactly the images that you want for your family.
