Baby Photography – Babies and Pettiskirts

Skyla’s mum and dad brought along some lovely outfits for her to wear at her second baby photography club photo shoot  (no fruit this time, last time she was a watermelon)

However, as we got near to the end of the session, we decided to create a quick pretty little set of images using one of my ever growing collection of pettiskirts.  I have a range of colours (some with matching headbands) and the navy is one of my favourites. It sounds like a strange colour to photograph a baby in but actually I’ve found that it always looks really pretty in the finished images and, in the case of Skyla here, the blue of the pettiskirt really brings out the blue in her eyes – not that they needed the help, they’re stunning!

Then it was back into ‘normal’ clothes to finish off the session before it was time to go home.  Such an easy little outfit change to add a little fluff and fantasy to your image collection.  We just slip one on while we’re changing between outfits for a quick blast of photos.  Range of colours available in the studio for you to borrow…
