Well I can’t describe what a pleasure it was to meet these two gorgeous newborn twin sisters in my East Grinstead studio a couple of weeks ago. I had met their mum the week before for her maternity photos and we had lots of fun making labels for ‘baby 1’ and ‘baby 2’ while they were in bump form. It’s a shot we recreated in their newborn session but I’m sorry to say that these are not the names they chose for their two little girls – a shame as I thought it was such an original choice!
Their mum and dad brought along some lovely items to include in their photo shoot to personalise the session – some first toys and the adorable wooden heart that says ‘Born Together. Friends Forever’. The twin bond is really something special to behold and I have to be totally honest that when I saw the photo on my screen of them sleeping peacefully together with this sign wrapped around their little joined hands, I did actually get a little misty eyed. They were definitely happier when posed together, even though they were sleeping for the most part – both settling better when the other was near.
I look forward to watching them grow together over their year of Joey Club sittings – changing I’m sure from those peaceful sleeping angels to bundles of energy and mischief.
