Arthur was a bit fan of his bubble bath at his cake smash and tub splash first birthday photo shoot. Even more so when we switched on the bubble machine and let him enjoy a shower of bubbles!
I actually switched to a mains powered bubble machine at the beginning of the year as I was getting fed up with the battery ones firstly running out batteries when you needed them to work and also not delivering enough bubbles. Bubbles are always a bit like balloons at a party – you need a lot or it just looks a bit sorry. However, I did underestimate the power of this machine’s bubble delivery so we can only actually use it on its lowest setting or it literally swamps the place. Kind of fun but you do actually want to see the kid behind the bubbles. Anyway, of course working with bubbles can be a bit unpredictable in terms of getting the placement right so I also have the option of enhancing them digitally.
Bubble perfection is clearly very important to me. Didn’t realise that until I started writing this. Going to take a long hard look at my life now…
