Almost on the Move!

This little fellow was in for his second baby photography club photo shoot aged at a little over 8 months. His mum had picked the perfect time to bring him along as he is sitting steady but not yet quite crawling – don’t think it will be too long though as he was so keen to get on the move.

This is really the ‘sweet spot’ for baby portraits in terms of either the second Joey Club session or if you’re just booking a stand alone baby portrait.  Your baby at this stage is pretty lively and engaged with the world around them but they can’t yet move around which means they pretty much have to stay still while we amuse them and take their picture. There’s a greater range of props we can safely use while they aren’t yet mobile (although we always have a ‘spotter’ just in case of tumbles if they are off the ground in any way).

Of course, if your baby is already mobile, it’s no problem.  We just do a lot more baby chasing as, once they’ve found their confidence in the studio, it is much more fun to explore than to sit still!
